Inspection of water bodies begins every spring.
Recently, employees of the Road Department, together with a representative of the Podilsko-Carpathian Interregional Directorate of the State Maritime and River Transport Service of Ukraine, inspected sports facilities, the Didush Sports School “Veslyaryk” and the Children’s and Youth Sports School (rowing) regarding the operation of water transport.
“The main task of the inspection was to check the permits and conduct preventive and explanatory work to prevent accidents with small vessels, the rights and responsibilities of the heads of the bases and those responsible for the navigation safety management system,” said Orest Shulikovsky, Director of the Road Department of the Sea Port of Lviv.
These sports centers are located in the village of Navariya. Based on the results of the inspection, they were allowed to operate.
According to the Law of Ukraine No. 1054-IX “On Inland Water Transport,” local state administrations
approve the holding of sports and other public events on the water;
open bases for mooring of small vessels and bases for mooring of sports vessels, and conduct their inspections,
publish information about such bases on their official websites;
control compliance with the rules of safe operation of small vessel mooring bases.
