In the Lviv Region, an inspection of road readiness for the summer season is underway. Road safety department inspectors are examining the highways of the region and the city to identify sections that require repair or updating.
Particular attention is paid to the condition of the road surface, verges, pavements, as well as the presence and condition of road markings. Inspectors are checking the visibility, technical means of traffic organisation, the functioning state of external lighting, and the maintenance of reservation lanes.
Patrol officers are particularly attentive to the arrangement of areas with a high concentration of road traffic accidents with appropriate signs. Every identified deficiency is recorded and directed to the relevant services for rectification.
