In May, two commissions from the Lviv Regional Council, along with the Ukrainian Ombudsman’s Office and EUAM, will inspect seven checkpoints in the Lviv region. The aim is to verify human rights compliance, document changes following previous recommendations, and prepare a report with practical solutions.
This was stated by the Representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner for Human Rights in the Lviv region, MP Taras Podvirnyi, during a working meeting with the EU Advisory Mission in Ukraine. The meeting was attended by the head of the European Integration Committee Natalia Halecka and MP Zakhar Milyanik.
Taras Podvirnyi emphasised the importance of previous visits: “It is essential that some changes have already been implemented, confirming the effectiveness of the tool.”
