In 2024, specialists in the Lviv region produced 3,346 prosthetics for individuals affected by the war. This marks a 50% increase compared to 2022, when 2,000 prosthetics were made for 1,061 people. By 2023, the number had risen to 2,826 prosthetics, aiding 1,354 individuals.
Contributions from Rehabilitation Centers:
- Superhumans Rehabilitation and Prosthetics Center: 1,042 prosthetics produced since April 2023.
- National Rehabilitation Center UNBROKEN: 461 prosthetics made since 2022.
- Halychyna Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center: Around 200 prosthetics provided.
Maxym Kozytskyi, Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, emphasized the significance of this work:
“Imagine a life forever changed. Every prosthetic is a chance for someone to return to their favorite activity, to take the first step into a new life. It’s a fight for human dignity and the right to happiness even after the darkest times.”
