In the Lviv region, inspections of recreation centers, where water transport rental points operate: details

This week, two databases were checked – “Shepilska” and “Lviv Switzerland” LLC.

On April 11, the order of the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine No. 101 “On approval of the Rules for the safe operation of bases for the parking of small vessels” entered into force. The rules establish requirements for the safe operation of bases for the parking of small vessels in order to organize safe anchoring, access to waterways, repair, preservation, maintenance of vessels and crews of small pleasure vessels and jet skis, as well as the procedure for opening the bases and their inspection.

Section V of the order established the requirements for inspection of the bases, the purpose of which is to check the condition of ensuring their safe operation, accident-free use and safety of vessels. The inspection of the bases is carried out by local administrations with the involvement of representatives of the State Service of Maritime and Inland Water Transport and Shipping of Ukraine, and if necessary, representatives of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations and other state supervision (control) bodies are involved in the inspection.

“There are 18 registered recreation centers in Lviv region, where water transport rental points operate. As of today, the Department of Transport and Communications has received appeals from the Chervonograd Local Society “Rybatsky Kut”, “Viking Bay”, LLC “Lviv Switzerland”, recreation center “Shepilska”, SE “Lviv State Plant “Lorta” (base ” Sokil”) and the Yavoriv National Park (“Vereshchytsia” base) regarding the inspection for the opening of the season for the use of small vessels,” said Stepan Rudnytskyi, head of LOVA’s transport and communications department.

In order to respond to the requests of the owners of recreation bases regarding their inspection, taking into account the fact that in 2022 none of the bases was opened for the operation of small and sports vessels due to the lack of regulatory and legal documents, another meeting of the working group on issues was held in Lviv Oblast safety of navigation on internal water bodies of public use in the Lviv region and a working meeting with the managers of recreation bases. During the meeting, the order and schedule of inspection of rental points were agreed upon.

So, this week, as part of the month of sea and river transport safety, two bases of Shepilska and Lviv Switzerland LLC were inspected.
