At the intersection of Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue and Horynya Street in Lviv, modern technologies will enhance the safety and efficiency of traffic flow. Specialists from LKP “Lvivavtodor” have completed the upgrade of the traffic light system, laying and reconnecting new cables in the vehicular, pedestrian, and tram traffic lights, as well as motion detectors.
The Director of LKP “Lvivavtodor”, Mykola Vlasyuk, noted that this project is part of efforts to improve safety and reduce delays on Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue. Following the replacement of old equipment, over 90% of the city’s traffic lights can be controlled online.
The city has approximately 176 traffic light installations, equating to around 2,500 traffic lights.
