In Lviv, the repair of the facade of a two-storey residential building at 19 Heroiv UPA Street has been completed. The work was carried out by the LKP “Lvivskyi Likhtar” under a co-financing arrangement: the building’s residents paid 50% of the restoration cost.
During the repair, specialists eliminated damage to the facade, restored missing decorative elements and refreshed the building’s exterior. The work lasted for about a month.
The Frankivsk District Administration emphasises that the building at 19 Heroiv UPA Street does not have listed architectural status, but stands out for its restrained stucco decor, characteristic of residential developments from the early 20th century. According to officials, such details shape the distinctive character of Lviv’s streets and maintain their historical atmosphere.
Following the completion of work on building No. 19, LKP “Lvivskyi Likhtar” has already started repairing the facade of the neighbouring building at 21 Heroiv UPA Street. Talks are also under way with residents of other buildings on this street regarding their participation in similar co-financing projects.
“Thus, we have a good example of how the joint efforts of the community and the city can improve the appearance of the street and help preserve its architectural heritage,” noted the Frankivsk District Administration.
