Reconstruction of Mazepa Street in Lviv Begins

Reconstruction of Mazepa Street in Lviv has commenced, spanning from Mykolaychuk Street to Orlyka Street. The contractor, Onur Construction, is actively dismantling the old road surface and infrastructure. A large excavator is working alongside lorries, creating a new area for vehicular and pedestrian movement.

The reconstruction involves updating nearly a two-kilometre section of the street. As Mykola Vlasyuk from LKP Lvivavtodor noted, the work is being carried out in stages to minimise inconvenience for residents.

During the construction, traffic is closed on this section. Bus routes have been altered: buses No 46, 55a, 17, and 84 are bypassing the closed section, and trolleybus #33 is not in operation. For long-term road improvements, the project is financed by the European Investment Bank and includes the expansion of the roadway, establishment of stops and infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists.
