On the western bypass of Lviv between Pidryasne and Sokilnyky, roadworks are under way, causing traffic disruption on certain sections. This was reported by the Service for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure in Lviv Region.
During the repairs, contraflow traffic has been introduced on stretches of the road, so drivers are advised to allow for possible delays when planning their journeys.
The works are being carried out on one of the busiest roads near Lviv, used by city residents, people from surrounding communities and drivers heading towards the border with European Union countries.
Road workers are milling off the damaged surface and laying a new layer of asphalt concrete. Road machinery and crews in high-visibility vests are working on site.
Drivers are asked to be attentive in areas where works are being carried out, to reduce speed in advance, to comply with temporary road signs and to maintain a safe distance.
