In Lysynychi, the reconstruction of a large two-storey administrative building at 48 Shevchenka Street has been completed. The Community Office, which previously operated elsewhere, has already moved into the refurbished premises.
The building had long been used as a village council, but a significant part of the floor area stood empty and required not only repairs, but also a rethink of its functions. After Lysynychi joined the Lviv community, it was decided to carry out the revitalisation of the building to create modern and comfortable spaces for residents.
In future, the administrative building is intended to house not only the community office, but also children’s and educational spaces, as well as a branch of Ukrposhta. For now, following the completion of the main works, the Community Office has been the first to relocate here.
During the reconstruction, particular attention was paid to accessibility for people with reduced mobility: the building is equipped with an inclusive toilet and a convenient entrance area, and the doors on the ground floor have been replaced taking into account the needs of people with disabilities. Energy efficiency measures have also been implemented, including insulation of the facade and the attic of the building.
The client for the major refurbishment was LKP “Rembud”. Not only have the interior premises been updated, but the grounds around the building have also been landscaped. At the request of the Agglomeration and Community Development Office, a memorial space has been created here to honour the Heroes.
