Half a hundred educational institutions of Lviv region will receive modern equipment for sports

Thanks to the cooperation of the International Charitable Foundation “Parimatch Foundation” and the Lviv Regional Military Administration, 50 educational institutions of Lviv region will receive modern sports equipment

Each set consists of equipment designed for various sports: football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, chess, checkers, darts. The total cost of all packages is about 540 thousand hryvnias.

“It is symbolic that the transfer of sports equipment took place on the International Children’s Day. In fact, now more than ever, we need to protect our children, care for them and their healthy future. There are more than 200 children’s playgrounds of various kinds and hundreds of educational institutions in the Lviv region. At the same time, thousands of internally displaced children now live in our region. A certain percentage of them have already started studying in local schools. Therefore, it is important that all of them are provided with quality equipment, because it is a contribution to the development of sports culture as opposed to the culture of social networks, “said Ivan Sobko, Deputy Head of LOVA.

Children from the Dovira Training and Rehabilitation Center were the first to receive sports kits and even test them on the field, playing a friendly match with professional football players. The rest of the sets will be delivered to other educational institutions in the coming days.

“All children who study or live in educational institutions in the region, as well as displaced children, will be able to engage in their physical education. On the one hand, it is another way to improve the health of our children, and on the other hand, sport is also able to help cope with emotional shocks, which is extremely important today. Together with the Department of Education and Science of Lviv OVA, we managed to implement our initiative, “said Vadym Misyura, Director of the Parimatch Foundation International Charitable Foundation.

He also noted that this is not the only joint project with Lviv OVA. Training for inclusive resource psychologists is also set to begin shortly. In addition, consider the possibility of organizing several programs “Yes! I can!” to work with children with disabilities.

For reference: The International Charitable Foundation “Parimatch Foundation” was established in 2019 by Parimatch. In peacetime, the Foundation has done its utmost to improve the health and well-being of society by providing children with equal opportunities and access to sports and education.
