Lviv prosecutors ensured the return of over 8 million UAH in taxes to the budget.
Lviv prosecutors submitted an indictment to the court regarding the director of a construction company on charges of large-scale tax evasion. **The investigation found** that during 2018 and 2023-2024, the accused entered false information into the company’s tax documents. In particular, during the audit, several instances were discovered where the official deliberately failed to record transactions for the purchase of goods from a number of entrepreneurs in the tax reports.
As a result of these actions, over 8 million UAH in taxes did not reach the Ukrainian budget. Due to the reimbursement of the damages by the figure involved, a petition for his release from criminal responsibility was submitted to the court. The pre-trial investigation was carried out by detectives of the BEB Regional Office in Lviv region.
According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in accordance with the law and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
