Prosecutors in Volyn have won back 15 hectares of defense land for the state.
Prosecutors from the Volyn Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the defense sector of the Western region have succeeded in a court case concerning the return of almost 15 hectares of land to the regional military administration. This plot, located within the Rivne Village Council of the Kovel District, was unlawfully removed from state ownership without proper legal grounds.
The seizure occurred due to documents from the Main Department of the State Geocadastre in the Volyn region and the district administration that did not comply with the legislation. The Economic Court of the Volyn region supported the prosecutor’s position, recognizing the illegality of the land’s transfer to third parties. The land is part of the border strip and is crucial for national security.
