Repairs on Zaliznychna Street in Lviv: New Section Closed

In Lviv, extensive repairs are underway on Zaliznychna Street, which include the replacement of all utilities. From Monday, 23rd March, work will commence on a new section up to Storozhenka Street, closing the road to private vehicles from the quasi-roundabout on Shevchenka Street to Storozhenka Street, as reported by the Lviv City Council.

During the repair works, a detour will be organised: from the direction of Storozhenka Street via Shchekavytska Street, O. Stepanivny Street, Kvytky-Osnov’yanenka Street, Bortnyanskyi Street, Yunakiva Street, and Lutskyi Street, exiting onto Shevchenka Street; from the direction of Shevchenka Street via Bortnyanskyi Street or O. Lutskyi Street, Brativ Duzhykh Street, Brativ Mikhnovskykh Street, exiting onto Horodotska Street.

Repair works on Zaliznychna Street began at the end of October last year. Initially, a section over 400 metres long from the quasi-roundabout on Shevchenka Street to Yasna Street was repaired. The street is set for a complete replacement of utilities, the installation of two cycle lanes, and the repair of pavements and parking spaces. The carriageway and cycle lanes will be surfaced with asphalt concrete, parking spaces will be paved with cobblestones, and pavements with FEM tiles.

The repairs are funded by credit as budget funds are directed towards supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
