
Firefighting and rescue teams in the Poltava region have received two new specialised fire and rescue vehicles thanks to collaboration with the Ministry of Defence of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the company North Defence. The implementation of this initiative was supported by the Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation. This equipment will help rescuers respond more swiftly to emergencies, according to a report by Lviv SES.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Head of the SES, Andriy Danyk, and a representative from the ministry, the CEO of North Defence, Oliver Norse. Danyk expressed gratitude to the international partners for their support, emphasising the importance of such international cooperation. He highlighted that these vehicles will help Ukrainian rescuers to eliminate dangers more efficiently and save people’s lives.
“This equipment will enable our units to save lives more effectively. We value the cooperation with North Defence and express our thanks to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation,” stated Danyk.
