At its regular meeting, the executive committee of the Slavske settlement council approved a package of decisions on the provision of one-off financial assistance to service personnel, veterans, families of the Defenders of Ukraine and other residents of the community. In total, more than UAH 1.4 million has been allocated from the local budget for social support.

According to the decisions of the executive committee, UAH 516,000 will be paid to 43 service personnel, war veterans and family members of fallen, captured and missing Defenders of Ukraine. Each recipient of this assistance will receive UAH 12,000.

A further UAH 384,000 has been earmarked to support 24 service personnel and their family members who require medical treatment. The amount of assistance for each is UAH 16,000. Separately, UAH 250,000 has been allocated to five service personnel wounded or concussed while defending Ukraine, at UAH 50,000 each.

Funds have also been allocated to help families of fallen and missing defenders facing difficult life circumstances. A further UAH 50,000 has been provided to the family of a Defender of Ukraine who went missing under special circumstances.

Part of the funds has been directed towards supporting other socially vulnerable groups of community residents. Four residents who celebrated their 80th and 90th birthdays will receive a total of UAH 40,000, which is UAH 10,000 each.

In addition, six residents have been reimbursed for dental treatment costs totalling UAH 34,090. Two residents have received UAH 10,000 in compensation for physiotherapy services and physical and psychological rehabilitation.

«Caring for community residents, supporting the defenders of Ukraine, their families and people in need of assistance remains one of the main priorities of our work. We will continue to ensure that everyone who needs support feels the attention and help of the community,» emphasises acting head Oleh Danyliak.
