At a meeting of the executive committee of the Slavske Settlement Council, a package of decisions was adopted on providing material and social support to community residents, service personnel and their families. The total amount of approved payments exceeds UAH 1.8 million.
Several types of support have been allocated for service personnel, veterans and their families. A total of UAH 456,000 will be directed towards one-off payments to 38 service personnel, war veterans, Defenders of Ukraine and their family members, at UAH 12,000 per person. A further UAH 448,000 has been allocated for the treatment of 28 service personnel and their families, with each to receive UAH 16,000.
A separate decision was adopted on assistance for the wounded: UAH 300,000 will be distributed among 6 service personnel who suffered wounds, concussions or other injuries while on duty. Each is to receive UAH 50,000.
Part of the funds has been earmarked to honour the fallen. UAH 156,700 has been allocated for the installation of memorial markers on the graves of the fallen, of which UAH 125,000 will come from the budget of the Slavske Settlement Council and UAH 31,700 from the regional budget. A one-off cash payment of UAH 100,000 has also been approved to cover the burial of a fallen service member.
For family members of a Defender of Ukraine reported missing under special circumstances, UAH 100,000 has been allocated. This amount will be divided between two recipients, at UAH 50,000 each.
The decision of the executive committee also includes compensation for medical services for community residents. UAH 65,020 will be directed to reimburse the cost of dental services for 9 people. A further UAH 22,210 has been allocated as compensation for physiotherapy services and for physical and psychological rehabilitation.
In addition to support for service personnel, a decision was taken on extra assistance to families with newborn children and other community residents. Fourteen mothers will receive UAH 10,000 each on the birth of a child – a total of UAH 140,000. To mark milestone birthdays, 13 residents of the Slavske community will receive material assistance of UAH 10,000 each, for which UAH 130,000 has been earmarked.
Support will also be provided to 4 community residents in connection with the burial of deceased relatives. A total of UAH 20,000 has been allocated for this purpose, at UAH 5,000 per applicant.
“Supporting those who defend Ukraine, their families and the residents of our community remains one of our key priorities. Each such decision is concrete assistance to those who need it today: service personnel, the families of fallen and missing Defenders, wounded soldiers and community residents. We will continue working to ensure that the necessary support is accessible and timely,” noted acting head Oleh Danyliak.
