In Lviv on the street Plastova, 13, the construction of a waste processing plant is underway. More than a third of the work has already been completed. The future mechano-biological complex of overloading and processing of solid household waste will be able to process 250,000 tons of waste per year.
The foundation for the walls of the complex has already been arranged on the site. For this purpose, almost one and a half thousand piles were driven and the installation of foundation grids and glasses is being completed.
Currently in the process of erecting the wall of the plant:
Precast reinforced concrete columns for wall construction are almost completely installed – 90%. There are already 110 columns out of 128 designed. All columns were ordered and manufactured.
Sandwich wall panels. The contractor is at the stage of concluding the order contract. It is planned to install sandwich panels from August this year.
Construction of the biological part of the plant is underway. The walls for 24 biodrying chambers are reduced by 82%. And in the mechanical part, the retaining walls have already been completely completed.
They are also working on the roof. They concluded a contract for the supply of materials, purchased metal, which will be installed from the beginning of August to the end of October.
Construction of the technological pit for conveyors – the foundation of the pit – is in progress. It should be concreted soon – July-August.
The final list of manufacturers and suppliers of equipment for the complex has already been agreed upon. It will be delivered in January next year, and the first start of work is planned for February-March 2024.
“We continue to work on the implementation of this important environmental project and are making every effort to complete the construction part of the works by the end of the year and start installing equipment, putting it into operation and receiving waste next year,” said Taras Kaluzhny, director of the “Green City” LKP .
It is expected that 184 people will work at the waste processing plant. In order to study in detail all the processes of the complex, the management team of the plant will go to study in Poland.
