Three innovative defense-focused projects in the mill-tech sector have secured funding from the Lviv City Council. Local developers behind these technologies will each receive grants of up to 2 million hryvnias to advance their solutions for battlefield use.
According to the Department of Economic Development, the following developments have been selected:
-
A communication system resistant to electronic warfare (EW);
-
A multi-channel video transmitter operating on non-standard frequencies;
-
A high-speed kamikaze drone currently undergoing refinement.
First Deputy Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Moskalenko, highlighted the importance of these technologies:
“We’re seeing powerful developments—high-speed reconnaissance UAVs, digital video communication systems for drones, and multi-channel transmitters. These are not just prototypes; they are already in serial production and play a crucial role in strengthening our defense. A big thank-you to the developers for their support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
Last year, the city council awarded 12 mill-tech grants totaling 24 million UAH, showing consistent backing for innovative defense technologies.
