The city of Truskavets faces challenges in the water supply sector due to outdated networks.
Thanks to funding from Swedfund and under the leadership of the Truskavets City Council, the Egis team in Ukraine developed a feasibility study for modernizing the water supply system. “During the process, we conducted a technical assessment of the system’s condition, financial and economic analysis, social and economic indicators analysis, environmental and social impact assessment, development roadmap formation,” noted Egis.
Several modernization options were proposed, including the construction of a new water treatment plant and transitioning to the use of a reservoir. The project received high praise from the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine. It will form the basis for a pilot public-private partnership project in the water supply sector.
On July 11, 2025, the project will be presented at the International Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome. This will be an important step towards attracting international donors and investors. Thanks to Swedfund for leadership, support, and trust.
