On July 29, a five-day training for potential adopters and adoptive parents ended. 26 residents of Lviv Oblast took part. The training was conducted by specialists of the Lviv Regional Center of Social Services.
A training course for those who intend to adopt a child has ended in the premises of the Faculty of Pedagogical Education of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The participants were people who expressed a desire to adopt an orphaned child or a child deprived of parental care into their family.
“Psychologists, doctors, and social workers work on courses with potential adopters. Therefore, the participants are told about all the components of the adoption process: from legislative to personal, in particular establishing contact between parents and children,” said Volodymyr Lys, head of the Children’s Service of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
It should be noted that this year already 128 people took part in such training.
After completing the mandatory and free training course, all parents are issued a certificate with relevant recommendations.
