Unlawfully installed garages to be dismantled in Drohobych

In Drohobych, work continues to tidy up community areas and remove unlawfully located temporary structures. On 15 September 2026, the Executive Committee of Drohobych City Council adopted three decisions providing for the dismantling of 14 metal garages in the city.

The garages concerned are at three addresses: on Ivana Datska Street, Truskavetska Street and Verkhradskyi Street. Seven garages are located on the premises of the Ivan Boberskyi Children and Youth Sports School (2-A Ivana Datska Street), four are near the House of Scientific and Technical Creativity of School-Age Youth (45 Truskavetska Street), and a further three are in a public-use area at 1-A Verkhradskyi Street.

Users of these structures have been given until 30 September 2026 to dismantle the garages themselves and restore the occupied plots to an appropriate condition. One of the garages on Ivana Datska Street has already been dismantled voluntarily by its owner.

On 18 September, written notices requiring mandatory dismantling of the structures were reposted at the addresses on Truskavetska Street and Verkhradskyi Street. If the garages are not removed voluntarily by 30 September, further action will be taken in accordance with the established procedure.

For the structures located on the premises of the Ivan Boberskyi Children and Youth Sports School, the executive committee decisions provide for forced dismantling by the Municipal Management Service utility company (KP «Sluzhba munitsypalnoho upravlinnia») by 13 October 2026.

The City Council stresses that the dismantling of unlawfully located structures is being carried out in line with current legislation and the approved Procedure for the dismantling of temporary structures, small architectural forms and temporary installations within the Drohobych urban territorial community. The process of putting community areas in order and clearing them continues.
