In Drohobych, motor traffic has been temporarily suspended on part of Volodymyra Velykoho Street. According to the Department of Municipal Services, the restrictions are connected with the scheduled continuation of repair works.
Traffic has been completely halted on the stretch from the roundabout at the junction of Volodymyra Velykoho and Volodymyra Vynnychenka Streets to building No. 7, where the Silpo supermarket is located.
City services urge drivers and carriers to take these changes into account in advance when planning their journeys. They recommend allowing an extra 15–20 minutes for travel, as congestion is possible on neighbouring streets and, where possible, avoiding the Volodymyra Velykoho – Vynnychenka roundabout area by using alternative routes.
Drivers are asked to pay close attention to temporary road signs and diversion indicators, and to update the data on their GPS navigators before setting off. In the works zone, they advise observing the speed limit, keeping a safe distance and showing mutual courtesy on the road.
The Department of Municipal Services thanked drivers for their understanding and stressed that the temporary inconvenience is aimed at improving the city's transport infrastructure.
