Tariffs Increased on Suburban Transport in Drohobych

Following prolonged negotiations, Drohobych has adopted new tariffs for suburban transport. This was prompted by a sharp increase in fuel prices, which rendered routes unprofitable, as reported by the Drohobych City Council.

The new tariffs were agreed upon at yesterday’s executive committee meeting. After extended discussions, it was decided that the maximum fare increase would be within 10-12 hryvnias per route. The routes Drohobych-Snyatynka and Drohobych-Pochaevychi were given particular attention, receiving lower tariffs due to petitions from local leaders.

For example, on route No. 18 Drohobych – Stebnyk, the fare will be 40 UAH, on route No. 8 Drohobych – Pochaevychi – 32 UAH, while on some other routes, prices will reach 45 UAH. All new tariffs will come into effect the day after their publication. Meanwhile, the fare for city transport will remain unchanged for at least a month.

Members of the executive committee also emphasised the importance of validators, which are expected to ensure order in public transport, and the installation of cameras, which will help resolve potential conflict situations.
