In the Drohobytsk City Hospital, the thermal modernization of the facade of the surgical building is being completed and the delivery room has been renovated

At the end of October, work on the thermal modernization of the facade of the surgical building of the CNP “Drogobytsk City Hospital No. 1” began.

As the head of the medical institution, Andriy Kotsyuba, said, the works are being carried out in cooperation with LOVA under the program “Priority infrastructure directions in the Lviv region”, in particular, the overhaul of the facade of the surgical building using energy-saving technologies. The total cost of the works is more than UAH 6 million, they are implemented in co-financing – 50% of the funds are provided by the city, 50% by the region.

The estimated time of completion of the works is the first half of December. As of today, more than 80% of the work on thermal modernization of the facade of the surgery building has already been completed.

In addition, a week ago in the city’s maternity hospital, a major repair of one of the wards of the delivery room began. According to Andrii Kotsyuba, the delivery room needed updating for a long time, so with the accumulated funds, the medical facility updated the electricity there, leveled the walls and installed new tiles. In addition, it was previously possible to purchase modern equipment for several delivery rooms of the maternity hospital – these are transformer chairs and modern medical equipment necessary for the vital activity of newborns in the first minutes of life.

In addition, at the beginning of autumn, a major repair of the roof was carried out over the administrative building of the “Drohobytsk City Hospital No. 1” KNP. And they also finished repair work to replace the roof over the surgical building of the medical institution. Capital replacement of the roofs over the surgery and administration building was a forced step. Because the roofs were leaking and had not seen major repairs for decades. In addition, emergency roofs posed a threat to the flooding of wards and expensive, professional medical equipment of the hospital.

At the beginning of November, with the participation of the management of LOVA, a new and modern intensive care unit of cardiology was opened in the hospital.
