New Bridge Under Construction Over the Opir River in Hrebeniv on the Skole–Slavske Road

A new bridge is being built in the village of Hrebeniv over the Opir River on the T-14-24 regional road connecting Skole and Slavske. Currently, construction crews are installing beam structures.

This road serves as a key transport route for the mountain communities of Lviv region. It plays a crucial role in boosting tourism, supporting the local economy, and enhancing social infrastructure.

According to Oleh Bereza, Head of the Service for Infrastructure Recovery and Development in Lviv Region:

“The existing bridge was built back in 1961 and has only undergone one major repair since then. Following a detailed inspection by specialists, the structure was declared unsafe. As a result, it was decided to construct a new bridge next to the old one. This approach allows construction to proceed without halting vehicle traffic or creating detours.”

🔧 Current construction progress includes:

  • Completion of bored pile installation;

  • Installation of caps, columns, crossbeams, and substructures;

  • Installation of 21 beams is underway;

  • The next phase will include deck slab installation, formwork, transition slabs, sidewalks on both sides, and curbstones.

The total length of the new bridge will be 64 meters. Approach roads will also be built to connect it to the existing roadway.
