The first public garden will be created in Hryada of the Lviv Metropolitan Territorial Community. This status will preserve the community’s green space with ancient trees, including more than a century-old ones. It will also protect the area from possible development.
This was reported by the Department of Administration and Community Development of the Lviv City Council.
The hromada office says that currently the territory of the future park has no balance holder, so no one takes care of it. Although the place itself is very beautiful and valuable. Many trees grow here, including some that are well over 100 or even 150 years old.
“We are talking about 0.81 hectares on Zadvirya-Parkova streets. It is planned that by the end of the year this territory will have officially designated boundaries, a cadastral number and will receive the status of a park,” said the Lviv City Council’s Department of Administration and Community Development.
By the way, according to the Land Resources Department of the Lviv City Council, there are currently 30 squares and parks in the communities of the Lviv Metropolitan Territorial Community.
