Discussion of National Memory in Lviv Regional Council

A round table dedicated to the preservation of national memory was held in the Lviv Regional Council.

On December 15, a round table on the topic ‘Responsibility for National Memory’ was held in the Lviv Regional Council. The event was dedicated to honoring Ukrainians deported between 1944 and 1951 from Lemkivshchyna, Nadsiannya, Kholmshchyna, Southern Podlachia, Lubachivshchyna, and Western Boykivshchyna.

Participants included government representatives, deputies, scholars, historians, and public organizations from Ukraine and the Republic of Poland. **Participants discussed the consequences of deportations**, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the formation of national memory state policy. A corresponding resolution was adopted following the round table.
