In Lviv, a further 53 internally displaced persons will receive housing vouchers. This decision was made at the executive committee meeting after reviewing 68 applications, of which 15 were rejected due to non-compliance with the criteria.
Since the programme began on 1 December 2025, 866 applications have been submitted via the “Diia” portal. The commission has already reviewed 747 applications, providing assistance to 583 individuals, while 164 applications were rejected. Another 60 applications are prepared for the next meeting.
The head of the social protection department of the Lviv City Council, Tetiana Kolesnyk, noted that housing for displaced persons means safety and stability, helping them to rebuild their lives. The housing voucher can be used to purchase property, a plot of land, pay the first instalment on a mortgage, or repay a mortgage loan.
Assistance is available to combatants and people with disabilities who lived in temporarily occupied territories. Meanwhile, individuals who already own housing or have received other compensation cannot claim this assistance.
