The Executive Committee of the Lviv City Council approved town planning conditions and restrictions on the reconstruction of a non-residential building under a closed shooting range. A modern sports facility will appear on Lysenka Street, 23-B in Lviv.
The site is located next to the Museum of the Liberation Struggle of Ukraine. The Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Lviv City Council says that the building located here is in an unsatisfactory condition.
“It is proposed to reconstruct the building for a closed shooting range for archery and, in addition, pneumatic or small-caliber weapons.
In terms of the plan, the building will not change critically, only there will be a hinged facade, behind which the designers propose to hide external communications, a metal stairwell for evacuation,” the architecture department explains.
As a reminder, the shooting range will have two floors: on the first level – an 18-meter range for bows, and on the second – the main range for shooting up to 50 meters. In addition, functional use of the roof is planned: in the warm season, archery classes will also be held on the third level.
The municipal shooting range will be inclusive and accessible to everyone who wants to practice shooting. The project is implemented at the expense of patrons.
