Six More Abandoned Cars Evacuated in Lviv

Lviv continues to clear city streets of abandoned cars. This week, six vehicles, which had been stationary for an extended period and violated public order regulations, were moved to the police impound yard. The decision to relocate these vehicles was made at a meeting of the commission for the detection and relocation of abandoned cars in the Lviv community.

On a cobbled street, a tow truck lifted a blue ‘Moskvich’ car onto its platform using special equipment. The vehicles were abandoned on various streets, including Zamarsyvna Street, Petliura Street, Horodotska Street, Hvylovy Street, and Mazepa Street. Before being moved, notices were placed on the cars demanding the owners remove them themselves. However, discontented owners failed to comply with these instructions.

As a result, the commission, which includes the police, representatives from the MIA service centre, city officials, and councillors, decided to evacuate them to the penalty area on Konyushynna Street. To date, 84 abandoned cars have already been relocated. Following the implementation of the programme, some owners have started to either remove their vehicles themselves or tidy them up.
