In Lviv, Municipal Services Clean the City After Winter

With the arrival of warm weather, Lviv’s municipal services have actively begun spring cleaning of the city. According to city-adm.lviv.ua, cleaning and removal of accumulated dirt and sand from winter are underway at public transport stops, as well as on sidewalks and near trash bins.

In the past seven days, municipal service workers have cleaned 148 bus stop shelters and removed 239 m³ of road debris, equivalent to more than twenty truckloads. Workers in bright vests are thoroughly cleaning benches and glass shelters of dirt.

“Just last week — February 27 — our municipal services began clearing streets of anti-slip materials and dirt accumulated during the winter. Sidewalks and curbside areas are being cleaned, after which the debris is removed using special equipment,” say the city’s Department of Housing and Infrastructure.

To date, spring cleaning has been carried out between various city locations, such as the area near the Opera Theater, Maryska Square, and Rynok Square. Notably, at Rynok Square, 27 street lighting poles have been cleaned.
