In Lviv, the “Gver” shop supports veteran businesses

Among Lviv’s priorities is the support of veteran businesses, as demonstrated by the opening of the “Gver” shop, founded by Iryna Dadak, the wife of Yuriy Ruf. A warm welcome and the founder’s story create a unique atmosphere in this establishment, located at Mechnykova Street, 21, as reported by the Lviv City Council.

Yuriy Ruf was not only a poet and military officer, but also the founder of a brand that embodies Ukrainian identity,” notes Iryna. The city’s support for such initiatives includes the provision of grants, through which Iryna received 300,000 hryvnias to develop the business.

The city mayor, Andriy Sadovyi, during his visit to the shop, noted that supporting such endeavours is strategic, as it helps veterans and their families build their own future. “Our principle is simple: support veteran businesses if they are available,” emphasised the mayor.

The training programme for entrepreneurs has enabled 251 participants to acquire the necessary skills to realise their business ideas. “The ‘Courage to Business’ training course significantly expands opportunities for veterans,” added Iryna Dadak, confirming the importance of such initiatives.
