In Lviv, a programme for co-financing repairs in multi-apartment buildings has been updated, allowing residents to repair their balconies with city support. The city covers 80% of the cost of the works, while residents pay only 20%.
Under this scheme, the communal balcony of the building at 25 Marka Vovchka Street is being repaired. The stationary slab on the second floor was replaced with a wooden decking, secured with metal channels in the walls.
The total cost of the works amounts to UAH 612,800, of which residents cover UAH 122,600. Staff from the Zalyznychnyi District Administration commend the residents’ diligence and responsibility, as they participate in the process and make their homes safer.
Other repairs are also planned throughout the district, allowing the programme to be expanded in the future. Previous years have confirmed the programme’s effectiveness: in 2024, 83 balconies were repaired, and in 2025, 64 balconies were renovated through the city budget.
