In Lviv, six kiosks dismantled on Mazepy Street and in Rudno

In Lviv, as part of the reconstruction of Mazepy Street, six temporary structures were dismantled: five kiosks on the street itself and another one in Rudno on Volodymyra Velykoho Street. The decision to dismantle them was taken by the executive committee of Lviv City Council, the Department of Natural Resources and Construction reported.

On Mazepy Street, the temporary structures were located within the red lines and were obstructing the works. Following explanatory work carried out by the municipal enterprise “Administrative and Technical Management”, the owners of the five kiosks dismantled them themselves.

Another kiosk was dismantled in Rudno on Volodymyra Velykoho Street. It did not have the necessary permits and was not included in the Comprehensive Scheme for the Placement of Temporary Structures. The owner also dismantled the structure independently and is obliged to tidy up the area after the dismantling.

The reconstruction of Mazepy Street in Lviv’s Shevchenkivskyi district began in May. The project provides for the widening of the carriageway to four lanes, the installation of dedicated lanes for public transport, cycle paths, island platforms for stops, convenient infrastructure for pedestrians, parking spaces and green areas. The main aim of the works is to improve access to nearby medical facilities, in particular the UNBROKEN centre. The reconstruction is financed by the European Investment Bank.
