In Lviv, at 4 Khimichna Street, plans have been made to refurbish the administrative building with an extension and an annex. The existing premises are to be adapted to modern needs, in particular taking into account accessibility for people with disabilities.
This was reported on 22 May at a meeting of the executive committee by the director of the Department of Architecture and Spatial Development, Anton Kolomeitsev. The client for the works is Rosava LT LLC.
According to Anton Kolomeitsev, the street-facing facade of the building is to be preserved without significant changes. In contrast, at the rear, the creation of a mansard space and the extension of the top floor are envisaged.
The building will be fitted with a lift to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities. The chief architect of the project, Mykola Sheremeta, previously noted at a meeting of the architectural and urban planning council that the project also provides for the construction of an additional stairwell to bring the facility into line with state building regulations (DBN).
The building is located practically in the central part of the city, outside the boundaries of the historic area. The issue of refurbishment was considered in March at a meeting of the urban planning council, where the project was supported.
