Significant changes have occurred for public transport users in Lviv. On route No. 51, which operates from the “Victoria Gardens” shopping centre to Halytske Crossroad, only modern low-floor buses now operate. This was announced by the head of the city’s transport department, Oleh Partyka.
“As of now, the route operates 18 modern and accessible buses with air conditioning systems. This means more comfort, convenience and higher quality journeys for passengers every day,” said Oleh Partyka. The route is serviced by the private carrier “Uspikh BM”.
The renewal of the transport fleet in Lviv is being carried out with a focus on comfort and accessibility for passengers. Last year, the municipal ATP-1 acquired 10 medium-class buses with low-floor sections equipped with air conditioning. Currently, routes No. 20, 32, and 37 have been updated, where large low-floor buses operate instead of small ones.
In total, more than 100 new low-floor buses were introduced on routes throughout last year and at the start of 2026. Thus, 78% of urban transport in Lviv is now accessible for people with reduced mobility.
