Milling has commenced on Stryiska Street at the outskirts of Lviv. The work is being carried out from the section starting at the bus station (Vernadskogo St.) to the city boundary, but it has minimal impact on traffic flow. Only one lane is closed for the works, while the other two lanes remain available for passage.
Milling involves removing the top layer of asphalt using a large road planer. The crushed material is transferred into trucks parked alongside. The repair work is being conducted by the contracting company ‘Onur’ in partnership with the Frankivsk District Administration.
Once milling is completed on all three lanes, asphalt laying will commence. This process will require a complete closure of the section for traffic, thereby reverse traffic flow will be organised.
