Today, November 29, the executive committee of the Lviv City Council adopted a decision “On approving changes to the Regulation on voucher support for business during martial law”.
The document provides for the introduction of a voucher for energy supply, which can be used by Lviv entrepreneurs in the restaurant sector and food retail trade. This means that the business will be able to receive assistance from the city in the amount of up to UAH 80,000 for the purchase of electricity generators for its work.
“In order to support small and medium-sized businesses, we propose to implement an energy supply voucher, which will be provided as partial compensation to entrepreneurs who purchase electricity generators, in particular, those who operate in restaurants and food retail establishments, except for alcohol and tobacco.
This voucher provides for reimbursement of 50% of the cost, but the amount should not exceed UAH 80,000. The procedure will be simple – entrepreneurs will submit applications and a package of documents to the National Economic Development Agency, and the expert commission will quickly review them and make a decision,” said Iryna Kulinych, director of the Department of Economic Development.
After the decision is approved by the executive committee, the relevant decision will be submitted for consideration by the city council session.
“Today we start the process. On December 6, at the session of the Lviv City Council, we will consider the relevant resolution, but it is important that business is already included in the work.
Some of the entrepreneurs are now working and have generators, but some are not functioning because there is no electricity. In fact, with this solution, we can start hundreds of heating points – Points of Unbreakability – where you can charge your phone, get hot water, use the toilet, etc. Those entrepreneurs who apply for financial assistance from the city must admit visitors.
Our task is to increase the number of points that will work in conditions of complete absence of heat and electricity supply”, emphasized Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy.
The Department of Economic Development said the refunds apply to devices purchased after February 24, 2022. Requirements for the electric generator – rated power from 3 kW inclusive.
To receive a voucher, applicants must submit a package of documents for consideration by the expert commission through the Lviv Administrative Services Center or the electronic application service, which contains:
- an application to receive an energy supply voucher for partial compensation of the purchase price of an electric generator (Appendix 3 to this Regulation);
- copies of payment documents (original documents that confirm the fact of receiving the electric generator and making payment for the provided goods);
- copies of documents indicating the technical characteristics and serial number (or other factory marking) of the electric generator;
- a copy of an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs;
- photofixation of the electric generator.
