In Lviv, routine repairs are starting on part of Konyushynna Street – the section from building No. 19 to the city boundary. Here, the crushed-stone bedding will be replaced with a full asphalt concrete surface.
According to the Zaliznychnyi District Administration, Konyushynna is located on the outskirts of Lviv in an industrial zone. Public transport does not run along this street, but it is important for private vehicles accessing the ring road and for partially easing traffic on Horodotska Street.
Last year, a section from Zbyralna Street to building No. 19 was already repaired. The current phase covers a stretch around 450 m long from building No. 19 to the boundary of Lviv, which until now has not had a hard surface.
The works are expected to last approximately from 18 June to 18 July. During this period, a crushed-stone and sand base will be laid on the street, kerbs and storm drains will be installed, after which two layers of asphalt concrete will be laid. The total repair area is approximately 3,200 m².
The contractor has been designated as LLC “Shlyakhovyk-T“, which will carry out the works with deferred payment. The district administration stresses that upgrading this road will remove it from its emergency condition and improve the transport infrastructure on the way out of Lviv.
For the duration of the repairs, Konyushynna Street will be completely closed to traffic on the section from building No. 19 to the city boundary. Public transport routes do not pass here, so the restrictions apply to private vehicles. A diversion around the repair section has been organised via Zbyralna Street with further access to Horodotska Street.
