In Lviv, a further 19 internally displaced persons will receive housing support in the form of housing vouchers. The relevant decision was approved by the executive committee of the Lviv City Council.
According to the city’s Social Protection Department, the commission responsible for assisting certain categories of internally displaced persons to obtain housing has processed another 31 applications. Following its review, 19 applicants were approved for support, while 12 were refused due to inaccurate information.
Since the programme began, the commission has already considered 1011 applications from internally displaced persons. Of these, 770 people have been granted support, and 241 applicants have been refused, also due to inaccurate information submitted. In total, since 1 December, 1080 applications for this type of support have been submitted via the «Diia» portal.
This concerns a state programme to support internally displaced persons, under which it is possible to receive assistance for purchasing housing in the form of a housing voucher. The maximum amount of support is up to UAH 2 million.
The housing voucher can be used to purchase property, invest in or finance the construction of housing, buy a plot of land for construction, as well as to pay the initial deposit or repay a mortgage loan.
