In Lviv’s Zaliznychnyi district, repairs are beginning on an emergency section of the road surface on Sembratovychiv Street. For the duration of the works, the street will be completely closed to private traffic on the stretch from Horodotska Street to Stepan Holubovych Street. Public transport does not run along this street.
According to the Zaliznychnyi District Administration, the repairs will start tomorrow and, weather permitting, are expected to continue approximately until 4 August 2026. The street is one-way, about 120 metres long, and its current surface has numerous potholes, cracks and irregularities.
The repairs will include milling of the existing asphalt-concrete layer and laying a new top layer of asphalt. The works also provide for repairs and partial replacement of kerbstones, raising and repairing inspection chamber manholes, and restoring stormwater inlets with replacement of grates.
The contractor will be Onur Construction International LLC. At the same time, staff from the Lviv Municipal Enterprise ‘Zaliznychnyi District Road Maintenance Company’ will be repairing the pavement, while the Lviv Municipal Enterprise ‘Levandivka’ will carry out works to channel wastewater. The district administration notes that, given favourable weather, all works are planned to be completed by 4 August 2026.
For the period of the closure, access from Horodotska Street to Stepan Holubovych Street will be possible via Holovatskoho Street or Marka Vovchka Street. In addition, for the duration of the repairs, the paid LeoParking car park on Sembratovychiv Street will be temporarily closed.
«Once the repairs are completed, the car park will resume operation. We ask drivers to take this information into account when planning parking in this area», the Lviv Municipal Enterprise ‘Lvivavtodor’ reported.
