Shelter to be reinforced at private medical facility in Sykhiv, Lviv

In Sykhiv, Lviv, during the conversion of a shop into a private medical facility at 8 Khotkevycha Street, the design solutions will be amended in order to reinforce the underground shelter. This was reported at a meeting of the executive committee of Lviv City Council.

As noted by the city’s architecture department, this concerns a site that is being converted into a modern four-storey polyclinic with a restrained architectural style. Construction works at the site are already under way, and amendments to the urban planning conditions and restrictions are needed to adjust the design documentation.

The city’s chief architect, Anton Kolomeitsev, presented the updated urban planning conditions and restrictions at a meeting of the executive committee of Lviv City Council.

During consideration of the matter, it was explained that the adjustments are being made to provide additional protection for the shelter, which is located underground and formed in accordance with the detailed plan of the area. A slight increase in the above-ground part of the building is also envisaged so that it completely covers the footprint of the shelter.

According to participants in the meeting, the changes introduced are intended to provide better protection for the shelter in the private medical facility at 8 Khotkevycha Street.
