In Lviv, Veterans to Receive Free Parking from May

From 1st May in Lviv, a preferential parking programme will be introduced for war veterans. Every combat participant and individuals with disabilities due to war will be able to utilise up to 100 free parking hours within the community area. The concession applies to one vehicle owned by the veteran.

To utilise the concession, it is necessary to register the vehicle in advance in a special electronic register. The car owner will receive a unique concession code via SMS, which will be valid for all parking sessions.

To activate a free parking session, users must access the UNIP service webpage via a smartphone, enter the vehicle number and the personal concession code. The system will automatically track the time used. After the session ends, the vehicle must be moved within 10 minutes or a new session must be started.

Currently, the veterans’ database contains over 500 vehicles. Document submission is possible both at CNAPs and online. The required document package includes a passport, identification number, vehicle documents, and a combatant’s or war-disabled veteran’s certificate.
