Inclusive Shooting Range for Veterans Opens in Lviv

An inclusive shooting range has been opened at the Centre for Veteran and Adaptive Sports in Lviv. According to the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, a modern space for the rehabilitation and development of our defenders has been established at the Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University. The ‘League of the Unbroken’ Centre is part of a large-scale recovery ecosystem that the region is developing in collaboration with scientists and international partners.

After a complete reconstruction, the shooting sports complex has been restored. It is now the only inclusive archery range in Ukraine, 70 metres long, where veterans, students, and schoolchildren can train. Spaces have been equipped for strength and cardio training, body practices, coworking, and workshops.

More than 47 million hryvnias from the regional budget have been allocated for capital repairs and infrastructure creation. The opening of the Centre marks another step in creating a powerful medical ecosystem at LNMU. Together with the Ministry of Health, the French government, and private donors, the following have already been implemented: University Hospital and Prosthetics Centre; Clinical Research Centre; Simulation Surgery Centre on Living Tissues.

“It is important for us that universities become important centres of the state’s veteran policy. That veterans, students, doctors, and lecturers have a common space for development, support, and interaction – not only within the hospital but also beyond its walls,” emphasised Maksym Kozytskyi.
