Opening of the ‘Source of Love’ Space in Lviv

Yesterday, October 21, the opening of the ‘Source of Love’ space took place in Lviv – a place filled with warmth, goodness, and care.

The idea to create a space for children and young people with disabilities, where they could engage in music and creativity, belongs to volunteer and educator Lesia Rak-Voloshyn. She conducts music therapy sessions and is genuinely passionate about her work.

Initially, the sessions were held in the premises of the mining and construction college, but over time there arose the need for a more convenient location. Such a premises was found near the greenhouse of Gymnasium No. 12, which was in disrepair. With the directorate’s permission, renovation work began in June.

Throughout the summer, many caring individuals joined this good cause – benefactors, friends, volunteers helped with funds, manual labor, and building materials. And now, on October 21, the ‘Source of Love’ space officially opened its doors to its first guests.

The celebration gathered benefactors, friends, clergy, and government representatives – among them, Deputy Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Khrystyna Zamula, Deputy Mayor Volodymyr Koval, and First Deputy Head of Sheptytskyi District State Administration Iryna Nalyvaiko.

Bishop Petro Loza of Sokal-Zhovkva consecrated the premises and presented a certificate of appreciation to the couple Lesia and Ivan Rak for their charitable activities. The opening concluded with a symbolic gesture – everyone present left their colorful handprints on the walls as a sign of unity in goodness and love.
