On July 30, a recruitment center for the Unmanned Systems Forces, the newest troops in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was opened in Lviv.
People can come here and learn more about the opportunities to serve in these troops, see drone simulators with their own eyes and join the fight for Ukraine. The center was opened in cooperation with the Lviv City Council.
“The world’s first Unmanned Systems Forces have appeared in Ukraine, and we are incredibly proud of this, because the Defense Forces are developing in the technological context of military craft. It is important for us that the personnel who will join our ranks are motivated and tested, and this is why recruiting centers are being set up so that we can interview candidates. The main thing is motivation, responsibility and a desire to learn. We don’t focus on the fact that a candidate must have superior piloting skills with certain means, because we are looking for not only pilots, but also drivers, clerks, and logisticians – that is, a huge number of positions that will be enough for everyone,” explained Ihor Sholtis (Schultz), deputy commander of the Nachtigall battalion, coordinator of the Lviv recruitment center of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
The key task of the recruitment center is to interview the candidate, and if everything is right, to accompany him to the territorial recruitment center, where the necessary documents are filled out and the candidate passes a military medical examination. After that, he will be sent to a training center for training, after which he will begin his service.
“There will always be at least one recruiter with combat experience and experience with unmanned systems, who knows how military units function, to answer all the questions that candidates may have,” adds Ihor Sholtys.
Interestingly, the center itself was equipped with drone simulators so that the candidates could see for themselves and understand how such aircraft work.
“Today we are handing over 24 million hryvnias worth of drones to the Armed Forces. This is for our various units. And today, everyone is well aware that this type of weapon is the most effective and protects the lives of people – both those who are fighting and us. Therefore, our priority was, is and will be to support the Armed Forces and all our units. We already have six recruitment centers in Lviv, and today we are opening the seventh one for the Unmanned Systems Forces. It is important to understand that if you like working in these troops, then together with the Recruitment Center you will be assigned to these forces, not to any other,” said Andriy Sadovyi, Lviv Mayor.
Lieutenant Colonel Borys Prutskikh, head of the Sykhiv Regional Military and Recruiting Center, in turn, assured that the candidates are guaranteed the fastest possible processing of the necessary documents and completion of all procedures.
“I can guarantee prompt registration of candidates within two days. That is, candidates come with letters of recommendation from this type of troops, and we guarantee their assignment to these units. We take them through military medical commissions and then send them to the training center, where they undergo training and then arrive at the unit,” said Lieutenant Colonel Borys Prutskikh.
You can visit the center from Monday to Thursday from 09:00 to 18:00, on Friday – from 09:00 to 16:45. The center is located at 22 Kostya Levytskoho Street. You can sign up for an interview here: https://book.sbs.army/.
Recruitment centers for the Unmanned Systems Forces have been opened in Lviv and Kyiv. They assure us that they will be an important step in the qualitative recruitment of drone operators and other specialists needed for modern warfare.
By the way, the day before, Lviv also hosted a presentation of the troops, which was attended by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi (Borsuk). By the way, he is the first officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to open fire on Russian militants in 2014.
In total, there are already 7 recruiting centers in Lviv, where you can find out all the latest information about vacancies in the army and talk to representatives of the brigades. These include the recruitment center of the Ukrainian Army, the Azov Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Da Vinci Wolves Battalion, the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade Kholodnyi Yar, and now the Unmanned Systems Forces.
For reference.
The Unmanned Systems Forces were created as a separate, newest branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May this year. It is the world’s first branch of the armed forces to use air, sea, surface and underwater, ground unmanned and robotic systems in its combat operations.
Unmanned systems are critical to saving the lives of soldiers at the front. They are changing the way combat operations are conducted, enabling them to perform tasks with minimal risk to personnel and increasing the effectiveness of combat units by conducting reconnaissance, fire support, and evacuation on the battlefield.
