Bus route No. 33 resumes in Lviv after long pause, connecting Southern Mall to city center

Starting June 9, bus route No. 33 in Lviv will be reinstated, linking the Southern shopping and entertainment center (“Pivdennyi”) with Sichovykh Striltsiv Street in the city center. The route had been inactive since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Oleh Zabarilo, Head of the Department for Urban Mobility and Street Infrastructure at Lviv City Council, the route’s relaunch is part of broader improvements to public transportation enabled by recent fare adjustments.

“We are working to ensure that after the fare revision, carriers resume previously suspended routes, increase vehicle availability, and enhance service, especially in the evenings,” said Zabarilo.

The city’s transport department added that six mid-sized buses will operate along route No. 33. Depending on passenger demand, the route may later be optimized.

Route No. 33 will run through:

  • Vyhovskoho Street
