In Lviv, work has commenced on restoring road markings, which is crucial for the safety of drivers and pedestrians. These works are carried out annually in spring, as the markings wear off over the year. The Department of Housing and Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council explains that the start of the works depends on temperature and weather conditions.
At present, markings have already been applied at 55 locations, including pedestrian crossings, stop lines, safety islands, and longitudinal lines. Initially, the work is conducted on main streets and near pedestrian crossings, before moving to smaller streets with less traffic.
Special paints or plastic, which dries quickly, are used for applying the markings. This ensures the efficiency and durability of the markings, which is critically important for road safety.
