The Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office is overseeing the situation regarding inadequate care for children in one large family.
Two young children were hospitalized in serious condition. A six-month-old boy has influenza A and acquired tuberculosis, while his two-year-old brother suffered burns from boiling water. The living conditions of the children do not meet sanitary standards, endangering their health.
The mother has already been notified of suspicion according to Article 166 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of suspicion for the father and the evaluation of the social services’ actions is being addressed.
On February 2, 2026, the executive committee adopted a decision to remove the children and place them in a specialized institution.
